Abstract IT performance management refers to the discipline within systems management/engineering that focuses on monitoring and managing the performance and service availability of software applications. IT performance has a critical impact on crucial parameters such as quality of experience, customer satisfaction, cycle time reduction, quality of product or service, which finally impacts the revenue of a IT conglomerates. Modeling and simulation play a critical role in various verticals and has a niche place in the performance management of software applications and networks. The present talk intends to discuss the IT performance management framework in general and the place of modeling and simulation in the ecosystem with reference to OSS/BSSS and networks in telecom. The lecture will help students make themselves industry-ready and also suggest potential opportunities.

The Speaker Dr. Neelesh Kumbhojkar holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Savitribai Phule Pune University. He is currently a Senior Project Manager at Tech Mahindra Ltd.
