Abstract

The Speaker Dr. Chetan Malhotra holds a Ph.D. (2006) in the field of thermal-fluid sciences from University of Colorado at Boulder, USA. He is currently a Research Team Lead at Tata Consultancy Services, Pune. His work is related to the dynamics of rarefied flows which find application in modeling thin film deposition systems. He has developed a computational molecular drift model for a flow through a 2-D channel. There is a minimum in the flow rate through this channel for a range of flow parameters which the model predicts successfully.
