The Centre plans to support 5 Junior Research Fellows during 2004-05, for a period not exceeding one year, to work on selected research projects. Time grants are available on the computational facilities owned by the Centre. Beyond this one-year support from the Centre, the selected candidates are expected to clear CSIR-UGC NET and generate their own support through CSIR/UGC fellowships. One additional fellowship is sponsored by SGI (India) Ltd. Due to regulations from the Savitribai Phule Pune University and funding agencies, these six positions are currently restricted to Indian nationals. Further, these six positions are governed by the Savitribai Phule Pune University policies on reservation. Thus, three of these are open positions and three are reserved, with reservation catagories as recognized by the Government of Maharashtra.
Four additional fellowships are also available through projects sanctioned to individual faculty in the Department of Physics, Institute of Bioinformatics and Biotechnology and Bioinformatics Centre. These are again listed on the research projects page.

Interviews of select candidates are expected to be conducted in late August 2004. We expect candidates selected through interview to join the Centre at the earliest mutually convenient date.
