RA Position (DBT-Funded Research Project)

Applications are invited for one post of Research Associate (RA) to work on a highly-interdisciplinary DBT-funded research project in the area of biological sequence analysis and computational/systems biology.

Duration of the Post

Till the end of this research project (February 2011).

Emoluments

As per standard (UGC/CSIR) norms.

Eligibility and Necessary Qualification

Ph.D. in Computer Science with proven research experience in computational/systems biology and biological sequence analysis.

Preferred Qualification

Prior post-doctoral research experience. Strong motivation, drive, and resourcefulness. Ability to work in a responsible, disciplined, and organized manner. Ability to grasp new computing paradigms reasonably quickly. Good oral and written communication skills. Background/expertise/experience in high-performance computing and algorithm design and analysis. Willingness to closely interact with practicing/wet-lab biologists in a productive manner.

Selection
