Applications are invited for one post of Research Associate (RA) (Open) and one post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (OPEN) at the Centre for Modeling and Simulation, Savitribai Phule Pune University. The Centre is looking for an honest, hardworking and dynamic persons who is willing to work on fast-turnkey projects. RA should be able to handle all the students academics and industry-Centre interaction. JRF should be able to learn new OS/programming/web paradigms. Timely completion of jobs and regular reporting is must for both.

• Research Associate (RA) - 1:Open
  
• Ph.D. in Physics/Computer Science/Statistics/Scientific Computing OR M.Phil. with minimum 5 years of research experience. RA will maintain all the academic records of all the students. RA is supposed to interact with the industry and coordinate the Industry-Centre interaction activity. He/She will also be responsible to help students with the placement activity. Some industrial experience is therefore desirable. Details of the job responsibilities are available at the Centre.
• Junior Research Fellow (JRF) - 1:Open
  
• BE, B.Tech Or M.Tech (preferably in Computer Science, Technology. Modeling & Simulation)
  OR M. Sc. in Scientific Computing/Pure Sciences/ Mathematics
• RedHat certification (or equivalent) with expertise in server management, networking, DNS, gateway setups etc. Proficiency with Shell scripting.

Emoluments

• Research Associate : Rs 36000/- + HRA @20%
• Junior Research Fellow : Rs 16000/- + HRA @ 20%

• Till 31st March 2017 (with possibility of extension)

Resume' should include, in the least: full name, contact information (address, email, and a phone number if available), date of birth, educational qualification, and relevant experience. Cover letter should emphasize the relevance of your background, qualification, training, and experience to the requirements of the post.

Do not send documents/attachments in MS Word format. Please send PDF or PS documents to ensure complete portability and readability on Linux systems. An application is likely to be rejected if we cannot read/print it properly in a typical Linux environment.

Selection

Candidates found suitable in preliminary screening will be notified via email, and will be requested to appear for an interview at their own expense. No separate interview call letter will be sent. Selected candidates are expected to join within one week of the date of the offer letter.
