Applications are invited for one post of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) (Open)
and two posts of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (1 Open, 1 Researved) at the Centre for
Modeling and Simulation, Savitribai Phule Pune University.
Positions will be offered depending on availability of suitable candidates and budget.
The Centre is looking for honest, hardworking, organized, and dynamic persons with good technical and time-management skills who are willing to work on fast-turnkey projects.
Eligibility
Senior Research Fellow (SRF) SysAdmin
-
B.E., B.Tech., or M.Tech. (preferably in Computer Science, Technology, Modeling and Simulation) or M.Sc. (Scientific Computing, Pure Science, Mathematics)
with minimum 2 years of experience in System Administration.
- Red Hat Certified Engineers and Red Hat Certificate in System Administration

SRF will be responsible for maintaining the computing facilities at the Centre.
Prior experience with linux system administration, shell-scripting and programming is desirable.
SRF will also assist the faculty and will perform other academic related activities as and when needed.
Junior Research Fellow (JRF): 1 Open, 1 Reserved (SC)
- System Administrator: BE/BTech/MTech (preferabley computer science/engineering) or MSc (any branch), with RedHat or equivalent certification with LAMP expertise/experience. Need a well-organized person with initiative, good organizational and people skills, and ability to multitask who will be able to work on fast turnkey computing tasks.
- Academic Coordinator: BE/BTech/MSc (any branch/subject), to handle student-related and academic tasks, such as (but not limited to) implementing academic programme and examination logistics, providing academic interface between students and the University, providing placement support to students and interface with industry. Need a well-organized person with initiative, good organizational and people skills, and ability to multitask, keep track of paperwork, etc. Some Linux and Moodle experience will be a plus.
Emoluments per month
- Senior Research Fellow: 22000.00 + HRA
- Junior Research Fellow: 17000.00 + HRA
