Applications are invited for two post of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) (SC)
and two posts of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (1 Open, 1 Researved) at the Centre for
Modeling and Simulation, Savitribai Phule Pune University.
Positions will be offered depending on availability of suitable candidates and budget.
The Centre is looking for honest, hardworking, organized, and dynamic persons with good technical and time-management skills who are willing to work on fast-turnkey projects.
Eligibility
Senior Research Fellow (SRF) SysAdmin (1 open)
- Eligibility & Necessary Qualification: BE, BTech, MTech or MSc
(preferably in Computer Science, Computer Technology, or Modeling &
Simulation) with experience in Linux system/network/server administration,
LAMP, etc., and RedHat or equivalent certification in Linux system
administration. Desirable: Programming experience in C, Python, Bash.

Description: Maintenance & upkeep of the Centre’s network and computing
facilities. Need a well-organized person with initiative, good organizational
and people skills, and ability to multitask, keep track of tasks and paperwork,
etc.
Junior Research Fellow (JRF): 1 Open, 1 Reserved (SC)
- Post 1: Junior System/Network Administrator
Eligibility & Necessary Qualification: BE, BTech, MTech or MSc (preferably in Computer Science, Computer Technology, or Modeling ∧ Simulation with RedHat or equivalent certification for Linux.) Desirable: Experience in Linux system administration and programming in C, Python, Bash.
Work Description: Maintenance ∧ upkeep of the Centre’s network and computing facilities. Need a well-organized person with initiative, good organizational and people skills, and ability to multitask, keep track of tasks and paperwork, etc.
- Post 2: Assistant to Academic & Research Coordinator
Eligibility & Necessary Qualification: BE, BTech, MTech or MSc. Desirable: Experience in academic administration, logistics, and human resource management. Desirable: Prior experience with Linux and Moodle
Work Description: Assistance in managing student-related and academic tasks, such as, but not limited to, implementing academic programme and examination logistics, providing academic interface between students and the University, providing placement support to students and interface with industry. Need a well-organized person with initiative, good organizational and people skills, and ability to multitask, keep track of tasks and paperwork, etc.
Emoluments per month
- Senior Research Fellow: 18000.00 + HRA
- Junior Research Fellow: 16000.00 + HRA
