Applications are invited for TWO posts of Project Assistants (PA) (1 OBC, 1 ST)
at the Centre for
Modeling and Simulation, Savitribai Phule Pune University.
- Post-I
- Eligibility & Necessary Qualification: BE, BTech, MTech or MSc
(preferably in Physics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science/Engineering
or Modeling and Simulation) with experience in Programming and Data Analysis.
Desirable: Experience of working on problems related to Complex networks,
Statistical Physics and Nonlinear dynamics.
- Work
Description: Development and mathematical + computational study of a model of
resource dependencies in Complex Systems. Need a well-organized person with
initiative, good organizational and people skills, and ability to multitask,
keep track of tasks and paperwork, etc.
- Post-II
- Eligibility & Necessary Qualification: BE, ME, BTech, MTech or Msc (preferably in Physics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science/Engineering or Modeling and Simulation) with experience in programming and Data analysis Desirable: Experience in data aquisition from the Internet, Web-crawling and scraping.
- Work Description: Development of codes for gathering of a large number of network datasets from various disciplines using web-crawling or otherwise, and organizing the obtained datasets. Need a well-organized person with initiative, good organizational and people skills, and ability to multitask, keep track of tasks and paperwork, etc.
Emoluments per month
- Rs. 30,000/- per month consolidate.

Selection
Candidates found suitable in preliminary screening will be notified via email, and will be requested to appear for an interview at their own expense. No separate interview call letter will be sent. The selected candidates are expected to join within one week of the date of the offer letter. If no suitable candidate from the prescribed category is found, a candidate from another category may be considered.
