She has guided five Ph.D. and three M.Phil. students till date. She is currently Professor and Head at the Department of Physics, at University of Pune. A member of many professional societies including Indian Physics Association, Institute of Physics (UK), Third World Organization for Women Scientists, she has co-authored many journals and books including Science textbooks for secondary and higher secondary levels of Maharashtra State Education Board.
